The Republican Hope

It is quite interesting to see the comments from the republic debate this last week.  There were so many points brought to the floor that I have never heard/thought of before that I found quite phenomenal.  During the entire debate, Obama was talked about as if he were the devil himself, while comments about Ronald Reagan were quite elaborate and positive.  There are some potential people on the poll that I believe would be a great president, but the important question is, "Which one of these will have the best chance against Hilary Clinton?".  I personally believe that it will take a massive effort to unify the republican party all around the nation around a candidate fast.  My personal opinion is that the democratic party has done a great job over the years pointing fingers at the: "white, rich, racist, businessmen of America" and given them the status of "Republican", and there are many people who would never follow such a leader. Now, I am not saying by any means that the candidates are this way, however, they do have that label on them that has been placed there for presidential runnings for centuries. For this reason, I find it hard to believe that a Republican will be in office for years to come, or at least until the republican party unifies together on a strategy to defeat the Democrat party.  How will it happen? Will it happen? Only time will tell, I hope they figure it out soon! Who has my vote, at least for now? Carly Fiorina, by a long shot.

  2. Ty,

I really loved your post for this week. Being in the Accounting Junior Core makes it difficult for me to keep up with the current political debates. But, political science is one of my interests (I was a TA for 202 last semester).

I agree that Florina is currently looking like a good choice for the Republican nominee. I can't wait to see what you post next!
